The random object is used to generate a random numbers in JavaScript. It generates the number from 0 to 1 by using Math.random( ) object in the program which is a method of JavaScript Math object. The Math object provides built-in-functions that perform mathematical operations.

Math.random Syntax

var x= Math.random( );

Math.random Example
<!DOCTYPE html>

<title>Random number</title>
</head>
<body>

<script type="text/javascript">

var x= Math.random();
document.write("1st Random Number: " +x+ "<br>");

var x= Math.random();
document.write("2nd Random Number: " +x);

</script>

</body>
</html>
• In the above example we have shown that how random number is been used in the program.
 • We have generated a random number by using Math.random( ) object in the program.
 • var x= Math.random(); is used for generating a random number.
